Thank you, I don't know how I missed that.
Solved. Thanks again.

Hello,
What is the workflow to make displacement working using Solaris?
I tried with a collect node connecting the surface shader to input 1 and the pxrDisplacement to input 2 but it doesn't seem to work.
Also added a render geometry node to enable displacement, but nothing happens.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hello,
I was wondering how to display a texture map applied to a mesh while using the topotransfer tools.
It doesn't matter if I apply a material or an attribute from map when using the topotransfer, a flat color overrides the texture.
This is an issue if you want to wrap a flat card with a texture map around a base mesh for example. As it is pretty much impossible to find landmarks in a flat plane without looking at the texture.
It would be nice to have the option to override that color with a custom material or an attribute. Unless I'm missing something ofc.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Xuan.

Houdini Lounge » Override packed alembics with renderman.

Hello,
How are you overriding packed alembic properties in renderman?
I need to control properties like subdivision, displacement, etc.
A similar way that I use in arnold, creating attributes for each specific render property.
Is this possible? I know that it is not possible in Redshift but I assume this is not the case with renderman.
Any ideas? I can't find renderman documentation about this topi.
Thanks!
arnold info just in case: https://docs.arnoldrenderer.com/display/A5AFHUG/Alembic#Alembic [docs.arnoldrenderer.com]
